谨慎对待克隆

Afteraseriesofinitialexperimentsandcorrections,thescientist’shardworkpaidoffwhenthetwincloneturkeyswerehatchedwithnormalfeatherandclaws.Thisbreakthroughpossiblyenabledpeopletobringtheiradoredpetsbacktolife.However,itbotheredhimfromtimetotimethattheirhealthwasinpoorconditionbecausetheywereunabletoresistillnesses.Thisdrawbackcasthimdown.Merely2weekslater,theclonesandtheircarrierdied,whichstruckfrustrationintohisheart.Heretiredbeforeheattainedhisambitionandbecameamemberofanoperachorustorelievehisdepression.

Shortlyafterwards,themediapublishedaconservativeargumentobjectingtocloningowingtomoralproblems,andsuggestedtheconstitutionincludecompulsoryregulationstoforbidobtainingcommercialprofitsfromcloning.

Wheninterviewed,thescientiststaredatthedecorationsontheceiling,thinkingforawhile,andthensaid,“I’mnotinfavourofanyarbitraryassumption,butundertakingcloningdoesdifferfromthestraightforwardprocedureofmakingloafsoutofflour.Untilweaccumulateenoughexactknowledge,anypracticeisinvainandisboundtofail.Altogether,beingmorecarefulisreasonableorwemaywalkintoasideroad.”
